June Lake is the perfect destination to connect with nature – the ground beneath your feet – and be closer to the cosmos and stars when you camp in the region. Vast forests, gorgeous mountains and glimmering, shimmering lakes and scenic views provide the perfect setting for your tent or RV.

There are several seasonal and year round campgrounds to choose from in and around June Lake Loop. From more simple campgrounds with limited services, to full-service campgrounds with showers and restrooms, you’ll find the perfect stop for your next camping trip in the Eastern Sierras.

June Lake is a year round vacation destination, but Summer is the most busy time for tourism. Visitors may choose to stay at one of many campgrounds managed by the US Forest Service, or they may choose one of several privately-operated campgrounds and RV Parks.

US Forest Service campgrounds generally operate from late April through mid-October. Reservations must be made on a 6-month rolling basis via the Forest Service website. While these campground offered a certain number of “first come-first serve” sites, since the Pandemic, ALL SITES NOW REQUIRE RESERVATIONS. These campgrounds do not provide hook ups.

Please call the US Forest Service at 760-647-3044 for the most up-to-date camping information and conditions or visit their website.

The many privately owned and operated campgrounds and RV Parks in the Loop generally accept reservations earlier than the US Forest Service sites and most have RV hook ups available. We recommend you contact each facility directly to inquire about reservations, rates and amenities.
